A plain guide to getting started as an Airbnb host
BNB Setup is for people who want to earn on Airbnb with what they already have: a spare room, a local passion, or a professional skill. We walk you through each of the three hosting tracks and what it takes to get a first booking.
Three ways to host, side by side
Airbnb is onboarding new hosts in 2026, and there are now three tracks: list a stay, host an experience, or offer a service. We treat all three as real options, because the right one depends on what you have to offer, not on whether you own property.
On the stays side, the home page spells out what guests can book: entire homes and apartments, private rooms with shared common areas, unique spaces such as treehouses, yurts, barns, tiny homes, boats and A-frames, and boutique and B&B rooms, which are now welcome on the platform. Experiences and services get the same treatment in their own sections and in the blog, from how to create an experience to how the vetting works for chefs, photographers and trainers.
How the site is organized
The home page follows the order a new host actually needs. Host Tracks lays out the three paths. Who It's For describes the people who thrive as Airbnb hosts. What You Can Offer gets specific about the property, passion or profession you would be putting on the platform. How It Works reduces the whole thing to three steps to your first booking. The blog goes deeper on each of those, from pricing a new listing to the photos you need room by room.
Who this is for
BNB Setup is written for the very beginning: you have not listed anything yet, you are not sure which track fits, and you want a straight answer on whether it is worth it. If you already run listings, the posts on Superhost requirements and pricing strategy still apply, but the site is built for the first booking, not the fiftieth.
